Men's Tennis Falls in Final Match of the Fall Season

GOSHEN, Ind. - In their final dual match of the fall season, the Trine University men's tennis team fell to Goshen College 7-2. The men finish the fall with a 3-1 record.

For the men, sophomore Nick Cassidy (Archbold, Ohio/Perrysburg) won the lone singles match for the Thunder as he defeated Krishnan Ganesan in the No. 5 pairings 6-0, 5-7, 10-8. Cassidy teamed with senior Nick Ihrie (Kendallville, Ind./East Noble) to take the third doubles match 9-7. Also in doubles action the team of sophomore Caleb Knust (Plainfield, Ind./Plainfield) and senior Joe Dunbar (Indianapolis, Ind./Guerin Catholic) fell just shy of a victory 9-7 at the No. 1 position.

For the men, they will also compete in the ITA Regional Championship which will be hosted by Kalamazoo College starting Sept. 27.
