Men's Tennis Falls to Clark

ORLANDO, FLA.-- The Trine men's tennis team fell to Clark University by a score of 6-3 Sunday afternoon.

Trine got wins at no. 1 singles from Caleb Knust (Plainfield, Ind./Plainfield) and no. 5 singles from Spenser Gilbert (Elkhart, Ind./Elkhart Memorial). Both players turned in dominating performances in winning in straight sets. Knust won 6-2, 6-2, while Gilbert won 6-2, 6-1. Knust is now 7-2 on the season. Trine also got a win at no. 3 doubles from Joey Clark (Sturgis, Mich./Sturgis) and Nick Ihrie (Kendalville, Ind./East Noble) who won by a score of 8-3.

The loss drops Trine to 4-2 overall on the season. Clark University improves to 4-1.

The Thunder return to action in Orlando tomorrow. They will face Ohio Northern at 10:30 a.m. and NCAA Division II member Cedarville at 5:30 p.m.
