Tennis Teams Announce Fall Schedule

ANGOLA, IND.-- The Trine tennis teams have announced the fall portion of their 2014-15 schedule.

The women's team has nine matches on the docket for the fall, while the men will play six matches and compete in a tournament. The fall season consists entirely of non-conference matches, with the MIAA schedule being played in its entirety during the spring. Last season, the Thunder men tied for fifth in the conference and produced First-Team All-MIAA performer Caleb Knust. The women were led by First-Team All-MIAA selection Jessica Huhnke and finished sixth in the conference. The fall season opens Saturday, Sep. 6 when each team will face Franklin and St. Joseph's (Ind.) at Franklin College.

The women's team will host three home matches, beginning with a pair of matches Sep. 14 against Rose-Hulman and Olivet. Each team will host John Carroll Oct. 4.

Away matches for the men also include Indiana-East, Capital, and a to be announced opponent. The Thunder men will also compete in the ITA Central Region Championships Sep. 26-28. The Thunder women travel to Grace, Capital, St. Francis and a to be determined opponent.
