Knust Named to All-MIAA First Team

FREELAND, Mich.-- Trine's Caleb Knust has been named to the All-MIAA Men's Tennis First Team, the conference announced Saturday.

Knust (Plainfield, Ind./Plainfield) became the first three-time member of the All-MIAA First team in school history. The junior became Trine's all-time leader in career wins this season, going 13-3 in singles play. Included among that performance was a 5-1 mark in conference matches. He won his last four matches of the season in straight sets. Knust also finished 8-8 in doubles matches.

Over the past three years, Knust has won 47 singles matches to just 11 losses. That mark is good for an .810 winning-percentage. Earlier in the season, he passed a 19-year old record for the most wins in team history.

Trine concluded the season 9-8 overall, with a 2-4 record in conference matches.
