ANGOLA, Ind. -- The 2016 fall schedule for the Trine men's tennis team is now available, the team announced Tuesday.
The fall slate features five matches and tournament action. Highlighting the schedule are three home matches in newly-completed Ryan Tennis Center. The Thunder will host Wittenberg on September 10 in the first match ever contested in the new facility. Trine will also play host to matches against Earlham and Ohio Northern.
The season opens Sep. 6 with a match at Grace College. The Lancers are one of two NAIA opponents on the schedule, with the other matchup coming in a road trip to Bethel College.
The fall concludes with Thunder performers competing in the ITA Central Region Championship. Kalamazoo College will serve as this season's host. The tournament consists of singles players and doubles pairings competing in seeded flights.
This season will Trine's first under head coach Erin Kolar, who was named to the position over the summer. Kolar also serves as the head coach of the Thunder women's tennis team.
The complete fall schedule is listed below. The schedule can also be viewed HERE. Spring matches will be added to the schedule as they are finalized and will be officially announced when the entire schedule is complete.
