ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Trine men's tennis team was defeated by Earlham 8-1 in a non-conference match Sunday morning in Ryan Tennis Center.
Judson Quinn (Russiaville, Ind. / Western) picked up a win in singles play for the Thunder. Quinn edged his opponent 6-2, 7-5 for the victory in the No. 4 singles match. The win improved the junior's record to 2-1 on the season. The Thunder fell to 1-2 on the season with the loss.
Blake Trusty (Fremont, Ind. / Fremont) pushed his opponent to through two tough sets, but was edged out in a competitive 12-10 tiebreak.
Trine returns to action Thursday, Sep. 15 at Bethel (Ind.). The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
