ANGOLA, IND. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) office has officially announced the bracket for the 2018 MIAA Men's Tennis Tournament. The conference also has posted the online tournament central on their website.
Trine University makes their first appearance in the tournament since 2011. It is the first time the team has made the narrowed field of four which began in 2012.
The Thunder will participate at the No. 4 seed and will travel to the No. 1 seed Calvin College. The Knights topped the standings with a record of 16-3 overall and 6-1 in the MIAA.
In the regular season matchup between the two teams the Thunder came up just short in two doubles matches and one singles match to fall to Calvin by the score of 6-3.
Trine finished the regular season with a 7-11 overall record and 3-4 in the MIAA. Their MIAA Tournament match is scheduled for Thursday, May 3, at 4:00 p.m. Live stats will be provided for the contest.
