Men's Tennis Defeated by Concordia Moorhead

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Trine University men's tennis team came up short against Concordia College Moorhead, losing the dual match by the score of 5-4.

The Cobbers came out strong in the first portion of the match, with the Thunder taking just one of the doubles matches. The team of sophomores Jaxon Davis (Angola, Ind. / Angola) and Evan Trusty (Fremont, Ind. / Fremont) came away with No. 3 match by the score of 8-5.

The Thunder picked up three more points in the single portion of the contest not enough for the win. In the No. 4 match, junior Isaac Everitt (Scottsburg, Ind. / Scottsburg) won with scores of 6-2, 6-4. In the No. 5 match freshman Drew Dixon (Fishers, Ind. / Fishers) won 6-4, 6-1 and in the No. 6 match senior Jordan Baker (Salem, Ind. / Salem) won with scores of 6-4, 6-4.

Trine falls to 6-2 following the loss. They will next take the courts on Saturday, March 21 when they host Franklin College for a 2:30 p.m. match.
