The Trine University Athletic Department announced Jacob Weiss as an assistant coach for the men's and women's tennis programs in the summer of 2021.

Head Coach Erin Kolar had this to say on the hire, "Jacob was extremely successful in both singles and doubles throughout his playing career at Trine. I'm thrilled to have him back at Trine in a coaching role."

Weiss was a Trine graduate in the spring of 2020, where he was a standout player for the Thunder. He tallied 32 wins in doubles action and 27 wins as a single. Combined, he has a .548 winning percentage as a member of the Trine men's tennis team. Most recently, Weiss was an assistant coach at Richmond High School from 2018-21.

"I'm honored to have the opportunity to coach for my alma mater," Weiss mentioned. "There's no other place I'd rather be coaching. Thank you to President Brooks, Matt Land and Coach Kolar for this opportunity."
