NEW ORLEANS – Trine University’s women’s track and field team was named an All–Academic team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday. Trine was one of 111 institutions who earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.1 or better.
The University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh team was named the Scholar Team of the Year in Division III for both the indoor and outdoor 2011 seasons. Oshkosh earned the distinction as a result of being the highest–placing team with at least a 3.10–cumulative GPA at the most recent NCAA indoor and outdoor championship.
Trine was one of six of the MIAA’s seven schools that field a team recognized by the USTFCCCA. The full list of recipients can be seen on www.ustfccca.org.
