Bourdo Set's School-Record; Advances at Nationals

LINCOLN, NEB.-- Trine's Tyle Bourdo turned in school-record performances to advance to the championship race at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships.

Bourdo (Plainwell, Mich./Delton-Kellogg) broke the indoor school-record in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 48.06 seconds. That time was good enough for second among qualifiers and earned Bourdo All-American status in the event. Bourdo previously earned All-American recognition during the outdoor portion of the 2013 season last spring. The junior will race for the National Championship in the event tomorrow at 2:35 p.m. CST.

The National Championship races are being held at University of Nebraksa's Devaney Sports Center, with Nebraska Wesleyan serving as the host. The 2014 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships conclude with tomorrow's events.
