Bourdo Named Men's Track Athlete of the Week

ROYAL, OAK, MICH.-- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Trine's Tyler Bourdo Men's Track Athlete of the Week for meets through April 6.

Bourdo (Plainwell, Mich./Delton-Kellogg) won the 400-Meter Dash at the DePauw Invitational in 48.82 seconds this past Saturday. He added a second-place finish in the 200-Meter Dash, finishing in 22.02 seconds. Bourdo is being honored as Athlete of the Week for the first time this season and the third time in his career.

Bourdo previously earned All-American recognition in the indoor season after placing fifth in the nation in the 400 Meter Dash. The junior is the reigning MIAA Men's Track Athlete of the Year.

The Trine track and field teams return to action this Saturday, Apr. 12 at the MIAA Jamboree. The meet is being hosted by Alma College.
