ROYAL OAK, Mich. - The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has announced that Trine University senior Dustin Stutzman has been named its Field Athletes of the Week through April 7.
Along with Stutzman, Calvin’s Dan Kerr (men) and Nicole Michmerhuizen (women) have been named the MIAA’s Track Athletes of the Week, while Olivet’s Cassie Ciaravino (women) was been selected as the other Field Athlete of the Week.
Stutzman, a senior from Topeka, Ind. (Westview HS), won the shot put at the Anderson Raven Invitational with a throw of 52 feet, 7-1/4 inches. He also finished fifth in the hammer throw with a distance of 145 feet, 1 inch. He is being honored as Field Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career.
