Track Teams Release Indoor Schedule

ANGOLA, IND.-- The Trine track and field teams have released the indoor portion of their 2014-15 schedule, the team announced Tuesday.

The Thunder will once again host multiple events at Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic Recreation Center. Highlighting the home schedule will be the Trine Indoor Championship on Feb. 28, which will feature the MIAA schools that sponsor an indoor team. During the 2013-14 Indoor season, Tyler Bourdo and Trisha King each earned All-American honors. Bourdo (Plainwell, Mich./Delton-Kellogg) placed fifth in the nation in the 400-Meter Dash, while King (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold) placed fifth in the nation in the 800-Meter Run.

The 2014-15 campaign opens with the Trine Conditioner Meet Dec. 6. New to the schedule this year is Grand Valley State University's Holiday Open, which will be held Dec. 12.

The home schedule will once again include the Don and Riley Zimmer Indoor Classic, and the Jon and Carol Liechty Alumni Invitational. Alumni are invited to register to compete in the Alumni Invitational, which will be held Feb 20. Information on registration will be available at a later date.

The regular-season also includes trips to the Findlay Classic and Hillsdale Wide Track Classic.

A new addition to the home schedule will include a Last Chance Qualifier. Fans will have the opportunity to see some of the top performers in the nation as they look to solidify qualifying performances for the NCAA Division III National Championships. The two day event will run Mar. 5-6.

The Indoor season concludes with the NCAA Division III National Championships in Winston-Salem, N.C.
