Track Teams Announce Outdoor Schedule

ANGOLA, IND.-- The Trine track and field teams have announced the outdoor portion of their 2015 schedule.

The outdoor season includes six regular-season events, including the MIAA Jamboree (Apr. 11) and Field Day (Apr. 30-May 1) events that determine the conference championship. Last season the Thunder men placed fifth in the league, while the women placed sevent. Tyler Bourdo earned All-American honors in the 400 Meter Dash during the 2014 outdoor season, placing eighth in the nation at the National Championships. Trisha King also earned a trip to the National Championships of the 800 Meter Run.

A trip to Nashville, Tenn. for Vanderbilt University's Black and Gold Meet gets the outdoor season underway Mar. 28. This will be Trine's first-ever trip to the event, which should see Thunder performers pitted against top competition from across all NCAA Divisions.

The schedule also includes return trips to the DePauw Invitational, Grand Valley State University's Al Owens Classic, and the Hillsdale Gina Relays. There is also the potential for Thunder performers to participate in Last-Chance Meets in the weeks leading up to the National Championships.

Any Thunder qualifiers for the National Championships will head to Canton, N.Y. to compete for national titles May 21-23.
