GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—The Trine men's track team competed at the Al Owens Classic on Saturday at Grand Valley State University.
The Thunder's 4x400 relay placed fifth with Jasper Bassett (Auburn, Ind./DeKalb), Patrick Richardville, Mat Bollan (Pleasant Lake, Ind./Angola) and Jeffery Barnett (Fremont, Ohio/Fremont-Ross) running for Trine.
In the 400 Meter Dash, Bassett placed sixth with a time of 48.90.
Placing eighth was Richardville in the 100 Meter dash. Richardville recorded a time of 10.89.
Also placing eighth was Ryan Haarer (Goshen, Ind./Northridge) in the pole vault at 4.36 meters.
In the 110 Meter Hurdles, Bollan took ninth in 15.68.
In the 5000 Meter run, Collin Elek (Osceola, Ind./Penn) took 11th with a time of 15.49.72. Jordan Zamarron (Ionia, Mich./Ionia) placed on spot behind him in 12th at 15:51.21.
Eric Townsend (Greenwood, Ind./Roncalli) took 14th in the long jump at 6.05 meters.
The Thunder took on teams from Division II as well as Division III.
The Thunder returns to action April 27 through 29 at the Hillsdale GINA Relays.
