Richardville Earns Second MIAA Track Athlete of the Week Honor

ANGOLA, IND.  --  For the second time this year, Trine University senior Patrick Richardville (Leo, Ind./Leo) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Richardville competed at the Gina Relays hosted by Hillsdale College over the weekend and recorded a winning time of 10.61 seconds in the 100-meter dash which also set a school outdoor record which he previously held after running a time of 10.62 seconds last April at the Indiana Division III Championships.  

His time also put him in a three-way tie for eighth fastest nationally in the event.

Richardville was also one of three Trine athletes to finish in the top-10 in the 200-meter dash and placed second overall in a time of 22.18 seconds.

Trine is scheduled to compete in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Outdoor Championships on Thursday-Friday, May 3-4 hosted by Adrian College in Adrian, Mich.  The first day's events are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
