FREELAND, MICH. -- Freshman Trine University outdoor field athlete, Noah McClellan (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central) has been named this week's Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association "Field Athlete of the Week."
McClellan was one of several Thunder student-athletes to compete in the Otterbein (Ohio) University Twilight Invitational this past weekend and helped Trine finish in second place among 13 teams.
Individually, McClellan took top honors in the triple jump event with a best effort of 41' 5.00".
Trine is scheduled to compete in the three-day Hillsdale (Mich.) College Gina Relays that begins on Thursday, Apr. 25 in Hillsdale, Mich. The day is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
