Thonn Garners MIAA Track Athlete of the Week Honors

ANGOLA, IND.  --  Trine University men's outdoor track runner William Thonn (Rochester, Ind./Rochester) earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Asscociation Track "Athlete of the Week" for his efforts this past weekend at the Olivet (Mich.) College "Comet Tune-Up."

Thonn was part of a select group of Trine athletes that competed at Olivet this past weekend. 

Thonn captured the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.40 seconds.  Additionally, he was a member of the winning 4x100-meter relay team that finished with a time of 42.41 seconds.  According to TFRRS, Thonn is second in the conference in the 100m dash (10.99 seconds) from April 17 and first in the MIAA with Trine's 4x100m relay that posted a mark of 41.81 seconds that was recorded on April 10.

Trine will set its sights on the MIAA Outdoor Championships that begin on Thursday, May 6 and will be hosted by Alma College in Alma, Mich.  The first events on Thursday are scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
