Gladieux Earns All-American Honors Behind School Record 60-Meter Hurdle Time

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Jake Gladieux of the Trine University men's track and field team finished third in the NCAA DIII Indoor National Championship 60-meter hurdle finals on Saturday morning.

The senior completed the race with a time of 8.01 seconds, which sets a new personal best and secures a new school record time in the event. Gladieux was also one hundredth of a second away from his second career national championship, his first coming in the 2021 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.

The top two in the race each ran an 8.00, and after needing a tiebreaker to the thousandths of a second, Eli Etherton from Nebraska Wesleyan University was declared the national champion. With his third-place finish, Gladieux becomes a back-to-back All-American in the event and notched his fourth career All-American award.

The outdoor season for the Trine track and field program kicks off on March 24-25 at the Thrills in the Hills Open, hosted by Emory University.
