Heat Win Secures Second Event Final Berth for Jake Gladieux

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – On day two of the NCAA DIII Outdoor Track and Field Championships, senior Jake Gladieux was able to qualify for the event finals in the 110-meter hurdle event. He will compete in both the 400- and 110-meter hurdle finals on Saturday, May 27.

Gladieux was able to win heat two of three to secure his spot in Saturday's event finals. He completed the preliminary race with a time of 14.43 seconds, .01 of a second faster than second-place in the heat. Compared to the other 22 competitors entered, Gladieux had the fourth-fastest 110-meter hurdle time.

Tomorrow afternoon, Gladieux will compete for a national championship in both the 400- and 110-meter hurdle events. The 110-meter hurdle finals takes place on Saturday, May 28 at 1:50 p.m. and the 400-meter hurdle event will be contested at 3:15 p.m.
