USTFCCCA Reveals 2022-23 Track and Field All-Academic Teams and Athlete Awards

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has unveiled their team and individual academic awards for the 2022-23 indoor track and field season as well as the 2023 outdoor track and field season.

Under head coach Josh Fletcher, both the Trine University men's and women's track and field programs were eligible to receive the All-Academic Team honor from the USTFCCCA. The Thunder men had a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 this year while the women's team held a 3.5 grade point average.

Three individuals from the men's and women's teams were also tabbed as USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes. The criteria to be eligible for the award includes having a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale and rank inside the top 50 nationally in an event.

Greysen Spohn represented the men's team as an All-Academic Athlete as well as Haley Livingston and Lydia Randolph on the women's team. Spohn set new career-best times in the 110-meter hurdles (14.89 seconds), 60-meter hurdles (8.20 seconds) and the 100-meter dash (10.94 seconds) this year. Livingston ran a 9.20-second time in the 60-meter hurdles during the indoor portion of the season to qualify for the award. Randolph improved upon her best career times in several events, including the 800-meter run (2:22.71), 1500-meter run (4:45.05), mile run (5:14.41), 3000-meter run (10:24.89), 5000-meter run (17:48.26) and 10,000-meter run (36:34.05).
