School Record and Personal Best Times Set on Friday

RALEIGH, N.C. & ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Trine University men's and women's track and field teams had student-athletes competing at both the Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State University and Washington University for the program's Distance Carnival.

RALEIGH RELAYS RECAP:

At the Raleigh Relays, Jake Gladieux was able to break his own school record mark in the 110-meter hurdles after securing a time of 14.14 seconds, good for 13th place at the event and the second-best time in NCAA DIII this season.

Gladieux will compete in the 400-meter hurdles as well on Saturday, March 30 beginning at 2:55 p.m.

WASHU DISTANCE CARNIVAL RECAP:

Several distance athletes were in action in St. Louis on Friday for the WashU Distance Carnival. Bailey Puckett and Brianna Medcalf were 53rd and 54th in the women's 5000-meter run at 17:54.76 and 17:58.09. In the men's variation of the event, Max Van Huis completed the race with a time of 15:38.44 (111th).

Chloe Goodrich ran a 40:33.80 in the women's 10,000-meter run, leading to a 59th place scoring position. The Trine men had five student-athletes inside the top-100 in the 10,000-meter run, including a new personal record time of 31:52.12 by Ryan Hoopingarner (72nd). Additional scorers were Gehrig Longe in 74th (31:53.97), Joseph Packard in 82nd (32:07.44), Jacob Myers in 90th (32:28.78) and Matthew Edison in 95th (32:41.10).
