Three Top Finishes for Trine at Manchester

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – At the Manchester Invitational, the Trine University men's track and field team secured three event victories.

The first two were accumulated by Jake Gladieux when he ran a 14.36 second time in the 110-meter hurdles and a 52.19 second time in the 400-meter hurdles. Morgan Johnson was also triumphant in the pole vault at 4.15 meters (13' 7.25").

Greysen Spohn was the top finisher in multiple events on Saturday. He ran a time of 10.84 seconds in the 100-meter finals and 22.21 seconds in the 200-meter race. His 100-meter time was good for a runner-up finish and he slotted in third in the 200-meter event. The final remaining top-three finish was secured by the 4x400-meter relay team of Gladieux, Ryan Smith, Johnson and Aaron Pike. The quad ran a time of 3:25.34 to bring home a third-place finish.

Smith was fifth as an individual in the 400-meter race (50.23 seconds) while Zion Jackson was sixth in the long jump (6.32 meters / 20' 9.00"), Blane Johnson was eighth in the 800-meter event (2:03.56) and Hunter Eifert ninth in the high jump (1.70 meters / 5' 7.00").

The outdoor season continues on Saturday, April 13 at DePauw University for the Indiana DIII Championships.
