CMSV started set number two with back-to-back points and went on to have a seven-point lead, 19-12, when Trine began to rally.  Six straight kills by Trine that included two by Monday and three by Santiago-Garcia, began a run of seven straight points that evened the set at 19-19.  After a kill by CMSV, Trine then scored three consecutive points to take the lead, 22-20.  The Thunder never trailed in the game again and went on to lead by as many as three points, including the final of 25-22 to take a 2-0 match lead.
