CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA -- Trine University men's volleyball player Hunter Haas (Cincinnati, Ohio/Bishop Moeller) has been named this week's Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) "Defensive Player of the Week."
The Thunder won both matches against Olivet (Mich.) College on Sunday (Feb. 28) in their only action of the week.
Haas had a combined 26 digs against the Comets to average 4.33 digs per set. He also added 11 assists (1.83 assists per set). Haas has now recorded double-digit digs in seven straight matches and in eight out of his last 10 matches this season.
For the year, Haas sits atop the MCVL leaderboards in both digs (127) and digs per set (3.53).
Trine is scheduled to travel to Alliance, Ohio for two matches against MCVL opponent University of Mount Union on Sunday, Mar. 7. The first match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
