Ted Hofmeister and Hunter Haas Make MCVL All-League

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) has announced their All-League selections for the 2022 season prior to the start of the MCVL Tournament. The Thunder saw two representatives on the First Team: Ted Hofmeister [Powell, Ohio / Saint Charles] and Hunter Haas [Cincinnati, Ohio / Bishop Moeller].

Hofmeister, the sophomore outside hitter, enters the postseason with a team-high 289 kills (3.48 per set) and is closing in on the single-season record for the program. He has gotten into double figures 15 times this season and rattled off a career-high 26 kills at Wittenberg University and tied the school record for most in a match. Right now, he sits with a hitting percentage of .246 in 2022. Along with his kill totals, Hofmeister has collected 159 digs, 30 blocks (eight solo), 14 service aces and 13 assists.

His classmate, sophomore defensive specialist and libero, Haas has 188 digs in 18 matches this season (3.03 per set), which leads both the team and MCVL. Haas has also distributed 53 assists from the libero spot and has helped lead Trine to their winningest season in the program's short history and their second appearance in the MCVL Tournament.

On Friday, April 8, the Thunder take on Fontbonne University in the MCVL Tournament Championship Semifinals at 8 pm EST.
