ALLIANCE, Ohio – Junior outside hitter Ted Hofmeister was named to the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) All-Tournament Team for his efforts in the Trine University men's volleyball team's 3-1 loss at the University of Mount Union in the MCVL Tournament Semifinals.
Hofmeister went for a season-high 22 kills against the Purple Raiders on Friday evening to pace the offense. He also led the team with a .302 hitting percentage with 22 kills and six errors on 53 total attacks. The Powell, Ohio native added an ace to his offensive production as well, one of four for the team in the match.
On the defensive side of the ball, Hofmeister recorded double-digit digs for the seventh time in 2023 (third match in a row). His 12 digs were second on the team for the match and he added two solo blocks as well.
It is the third season in a row that Trine has had a representative on the MCVL All-Tournament Team. Matt Stillman was honored in 2022 and Hunter Haas in 2021.
