The Trine men moved up to fifth in the latest regional rankings and are ranked 33rd nationally among NCAA Division III programs.  It marks the first time in program history since joining the NCAA that men's cross country has been nationally ranked.

Joining Trine in this week's regional rankings were Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association members Calvin (Mich.) University who was ranked second in the Great Lakes Region and Albion (Mich.) College also appeared in the men's rankings in ninth place.

The USTFCCCA Regional Cross Country Rankings are determined subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region. The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning teams' strength with current season results (if applicable) in determining a predicting finishing order at the NCAA Regional Championships.

Calvin is the only other MIAA school to appear in the national rankings as the 13th-ranked program.

Trine will next travel to Oberlin, Ohio to compete in the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday, Oct. 19.  The men's race is scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m.
