Four Trine Cross Country Athletes Named All-Region by USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced their All-Region teams following last weekend's regional competition. One Trine University men's cross country student-athlete was selected as well as three from the women's team.

Noah Acker [Kendallville, Ind. / East Noble] was the top finisher for the Thunder men at the Great Lakes Regional. His 24th place finish (25:32.0) was good enough to secure his first career All-Region honor.

On the women's side, Evie Bultemeyer [Fort Wayne, Ind. / Homestead] won the Great Lakes Regional with a time of 21:16.2. It is her fourth career All-Region selection and with the victory, Bultemeyer scored her second Great Lakes Regional Athlete of the Year award (2019).

Trine also had a pair of first-time All-Region women nominees in Carol Haldeman [Syracuse, Ind. / Fairfield] and Chloe Brittain [Wheeler, Mich. / Breckenridge]. Haldeman placed 29th (22:53.2) and Brittain 34th (22:55.5) to be selected to the All-Region team.

The women's cross country team qualified for the NCAA DIII Women's Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 20 in Louisville, Kentucky at Tom Sawyer Park.
