Fox, Robles Named to Whitewater Regional All-Tournament Team

WHITEWATER, WIS. -- Seniors Erica Robles (Long Beach, Calif. / Lakewood) and Kaylee Fox (Vermilion, Ohio / Edison) were both named to the Whitewater, Wisconsin Regional All-Tournament Team as the tournament reached its conclusion on Monday.

Fox finished the weekend with three hits including two home runs which brought in five runs for the Thunder. She accumulated a .375 batting average and a 1.125 slugging percentage. She finishes the season with 17 home runs second most in a single season for a Trine softball player.

Robles went .300 in the batter's box during the tournament but really made her mark defensively. She came away with one of the highlights of the tournament robbing Benedictine (Ill.) of a double with a running catch in the outfield and then doubling up the runner at first. She also pitched three solid innings in relief coming away with two strikeouts.

Trine bowed out of the tournament after coming up just short to Coe College in the second elimination of the regional. Trine finished the season with a 26-13 overall record.
