Saupe Repeats as MIAA Pitcher of the Week

ANGOLA, Ind. – For the second time this season, senior Kate Saupe (Farwell, Mich. / Farwell) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced today.

Saupe came away with the award after two great appearances on the weekend. In the team's lone competition of the week, they faced off with Ohio Northern for a pair of games.

In the first Saupe entered in relief for the final two innings of play. She allowed no runs with two strikeouts, earning her first save of the season.

She then continued her day starting the second half of the doubleheader. Saupe turned in another six innings of pitching allowing just two runs while adding three more strikeouts as the Thunder cruised to an 11-2 win.
