**UPDATE** Softball to Host MIAA Tournament; Schedule and Ticket Information

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University softball team is set to host the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Softball Tournament beginning this Thursday, May 5.

The opening day is scheduled to feature four games, the first coming between the Thunder and Alma College at 11 a.m. Trine swept the Scots during the regular season on the back of a no-hit performance from sophomore Adrienne Rosey (Schoolcraft, Mich. / Schoolcraft) and an offensive explosion. Scheduled for 1 p.m., second seeded Hope College will take on Calvin University.

Two more games are scheduled for Thursday. At 3:30 p.m. the first elimination game of the tournament is set to pit the losing teams from the first two games, then at 5:30 p.m. the winners will face off.

The tournament is set to finish on Friday, May 6, starting with the winner of Game 3 facing off with the loser of Game 4 at noon, before the two remaining teams take the field for the championship at 2 p.m. with an if necessary game at 4:30 p.m.

Saturday, March 7 will serve as a make up date in case of inclement weather.
