SALEM, Va. -- The NCAA has announced the schedule for Saturday, May 28 after rain necessitated postponement of today's contests. The Trine University softball team is scheduled to play their winners' bracket game against Salisbury University at 3:30 p.m.
If the team wins their contest it will be their lone game of the day. If they should lose they will be set up to face a quick turnaround playing again at 5:30 p.m. against the winner of the matchup between Texas Lutheran and WPI in an elimination contest on the other side of the final's bracket.
The Thunder earned their spot in the winners' bracket early this afternoon when play was resumed from last night in their game against Eastern Connecticut State University. The team scored two runs in the top of the eighth inning on the bat of senior Taylor Murdock (Lapel, Ind. / Lapel) to secure the 4-2 win.
