ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University figure and synchronized skating teams have announced the date of their annual audition and spring recruitment weekend, as well as their 2024 college skating weekend summer camp.
The 2024 Season Auditions will be held from Saturday, March 23 to Sunday, March 24 at Trine University's Thunder Ice Arena in Angola, Ind. This event is open to seniors in high school and transfer students who are considering enrolling at Trine University for the fall 2024 semester. Activities will include on-ice learning and evaluations, as well as off ice fitness, goal setting, team bonding, a campus tour, a Q&A session and more. Auditions schedule is outlined below.
Saturday - March 23rd – 9:30am - 6:30pm - On and Off-Ice Evaluation, Lunch and Campus Tour
Sunday - March 24th - 8:30am-12:00pm - Final On-Ice Evaluation and Q&A Session
The event will cost $50 per attendee and includes all on and off-ice instruction, lunch on Saturday, event t-shirt and other on campus activities.

The 2024 Spring Recruitment will take place beginning on Friday, March 22 and run through Saturday, March 23 at the University's on-campus rink, Thunder Ice Arena. This event requires students to be in at least ninth grade but is open to any skill level or competitive background. Participants can expect to learn on-ice technique from former Team USA athletes, explore and eat lunch on campus, as well as have questions answered by current Thunder skaters. Preliminary event structure is outlined below.
Friday - March 22nd - 6:00pm-8:00pm - Check-In, Rink Tour & 'Skate with the Team'
Saturday - March 23rd - 8:30am – 1:00pm - On-ice skills workshop, lunch, campus tour and Q&A session
The event will cost $50 per athlete and includes all on and off-ice instruction, lunch on Saturday, event t-shirt and other on campus activities.

The 2024 College Skating Weekend will be held from Friday, July 19 through Sunday, July 21 on campus at Trine University in Angola, Ind. Skaters aged 13 and up are welcome to join us for a weekend of fun and skating.
On the ice, skaters will hone their skills in a variety of disciplines including synchro, freestyle and dance with instruction from Team USA alumni. Off the ice, skaters will enjoy fitness, team building, crafts, campus activities, games and a Q&A about skating in college. Overnight dorm-style housing is available and skaters will be grouped by skill level for on-ice workshops. The tentative schedule for CSW is below.
Friday - July 19th - Skater check in (1pm), on-ice workshops, team building
Saturday - July 20th - Activities: On-ice workshops (freestyle, synchro elements, field moves, twizzles, partner tricks, movement and artistry, and more!), stretching, crafts, goal making, educational classes on skating topics
Sunday - July 21st - More on-ice sessions, yoga, skating in college Q&A, check out (3pm)
Early Bird pricing for the event will be available until June 1st. The cost of the event with overnight housing is $300 and the event only cost is $250. The price will increase by $100 after June 1st.
