ANGOLA, Ind.-- The Trine women's basketball team will host a fall basketball league on for girls in grades 4-12 on Sundays this fall, the team announced Wednesday.
Games will run Sunday, Sept. 13 through Sunday, Oct. 18. The opening day will be used as a tryout day to to divide players up equally based on ability level. Teams will play twice on each Sunday the rest of the league season. Cost for each player to participate in the five-week league is $125. Returning leauge players and summer campers will receive a $15 discount.
The cost of the league includes the tryout day, skills camp and scrimmage session on Sept. 13, as well as two games on each Sunday for the duration of the league schedule. Each participant will also receive two free tickets to Trine women's basketball home games, a Trine University basketball and a uniform shirt to wear during league games.
All teams will be coached by Trine women's basketball players. Games will consist of two 18-minute halves, with playing time divided equally among all players on the team.
