Women's Basketball Moves Up in Both National Polls

ANGOLA, IND.  --  The Trine University women's basketball team moved up in both the D3hoops.com and Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) national polls.

The Thunder won both their matchups this past week with a 72-56 victory against Calvin (Mich.) College and a 78-72 win against Hope (Mich.) College that was ranked seventh and ninth in the same polls at the time.  Trine has also won eight straight games and 16 of its last 17 contests.

in the most recent polls, Trine improved to eighth in the D3hoops.com poll and were tabbed ninth by the WBCA.

Trine will play its final game of a current five-game homestand on Wednesday, Jan. 30 when the Thunder host Olivet (Mich.) College in a MIAA contest at the MTI Center.  The two teams are scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
