ANGOLA, Ind. - Two members of the women's golf team at Trine University were honored by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
Amy Worthington, a Logansport sophomore who graduated from Logansport High School, was named to the All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association First Team.
Julie DeBelly, a Sylvania, Ohio, freshman who graduated from Sylvania Northview High School, was named to the All-MIAA Second Team.
Worthington was the MIAA Player of the Week in women's golf for matches through Sept. 9. She has won medalist honors at three events and has seven career wins. She led the Thunder this year and last year in season play.
DeBelly shot solid rounds throughout the season. She carded her lowest round of the season when she shot 82 during the Jon P. Spiess Memorial Tournament, helping Trine to sweep the Defiance College tourney for the second straight year.
