ROYAL OAK, Mich. - The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Trine’s Amy Worthington its Player of the Week in women’s golf for matches through Sept. 9.
Worthington, a sophomore from Logansport, Ind. (Logansport HS), shot rounds of 78 and 76 to win medalist honors by one stroke in the 99-player field at Olivet’s Fall Invitational Tournament at The Medalist Golf Course in Marshall, Mich. The win was Worthington’s fifth of her young career. It’s the first time Worthington has been named MIAA Golfer of the Week in her career.
