ADRIAN, MICH.-- The Trine women's golf team placed fifth in the MIAA Jamboree at Adrian, held Saturday at Lenawee Country Club.
The Thunder finished with a score of 364 (+76) in tough, windy and cold conditions. Amy Worthington (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) carded an 83 to finish fifth. The junior has placed sixth or better in each Jamboree round this fall. The performance leaves Trine in fourth place in the conference standings. Hope won the team round with a score of 340. Olivet's Brooke Kastamo was the individual medalist with an 80.

Julia DeBelly (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview) finished with an 88 to tie for 12th. Jaime Frost (St. John, Ind./Hanover Central) and Katherine Guertin (Worthington, Ohio/Bishop Watterson) rounded out the top four golfers for Trine.
The final two rounds of the MIAA schedule will be played Oct. 10-11 at Bedford Valley Golf Course in Battle Creek, Mich. With a fourth-place finish or better, the Thunder would lock up a berth in the MIAA National Qualifier in the spring.
