ANGOLA, IND.-- The Trine University Fall Classic, scheduled for this Saturday, has been cancelled.
The cancellation means the fall season is over for the Trine women's golf team. The Thunder placed fourth in the MIAA to lock up a second-consecutive trip to the MIAA National Qualifier in the spring. The winner of the four-team, 54-hole tournament receives an automatic-qualifying bid to the NCAA Division III National Championships. Amy Worthington (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) earned First-Team All-MIAA honors this fall, while Julia DeBelly (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview) earned second-team honors.
An announcement of the spring tournament schedule will be made in the coming weeks.
