Women's Golf Announces Spring Schedule

ANGOLA, IND.-- The Trine women's golf team has announced the spring portion of their 2014-15 schedule.

The Thunder will have a chance to compete for a berth in the NCAA Division III National Championships, as they will play in the three-round, 54-hole MIAA National Qualifier. Trine earned the chance to compete in the qualifier with a fourth-place finish in the MIAA fall standings. Amy Worthington (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) earned First-Team All-MIAA honors, while Julia DeBelly (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview) picked up Second-Team recognition. One round of the National Qualifier will be played at Medalist Golf Club in Marshall, Mich. (Apr. 14), with the final two rounds being played at Ravines Golf Club in Saugatuck, Mich. (Apr. 20 and 25).

Also highlighting the spring schedule is the Trine University Spring Classic, hosted on Zollner Golf Course. The typical one-round spring tournament has been extended to two rounds this year, and will be played Apr. 10-11.

The spring tees off with a head-to-head match against Webber International in Florida on spring break (Mar. 4). The team will also get an extended road trip when they travel to the greater-St. Louis area to play in the Washington University (Mo.) Spring Invitational Mar. 28-29.

Also included on the schedule are return trips to the Capital University Purple and White Invitational (Apr. 2-3), and Manchester University Spring Invitational (Apr. 18).
