CLAYTON, Mo.-- The Trine women's golf team is in 10th place after the first round of the WUSTL Spring Invitational at Norman K. Probstein Community Golf Course.
Thunder golfers carded a score of 372 (+92) in windy conditions. Julia DeBelly (Sylvania, Ohio / Northview) led the way with a score of 86. The junior's performance ranks her 22nd in the individual standings. Rhodes College leads the team standings with an overall score of 317 (+37). Three individuals are tied for first with 77s (+7).

Claire Barnett (North Manchester, Ind. / North Manchester) finished the day second among Trine golfers with a 93. Ryleigh Gordon (Okemos, Mich. / Okemos) and Brooke Johnson (Crystal Lake, Ill. / Prairie Ridge) rounded out the top four for the Thunder. Johnson's score was two strokes better than her season average.
The WUSTL Spring Invitational concludes with round two tomorrow. The final round begins at 9 a.m.
