Women's Golf Finishes in Seventh at Kyle Campbell Classic

MARSHALL, Mich.—The Trine women's golf team finished the Kyle Campbell Classic in seventh place on Saturday afternoon.

The Thunder shot 344 on day two to total 701. Senior Julia DeBelly (Sylvania, Ohio/Sylvania Northview) shot 81 to total 163 and finished in a tie for ninth place. DeBelly had three birdies on the weekend. Fellow senior Ryleigh Gordon (Okemos, Mich./Okemos) shot 87 to tied for 25th. Both classmates totaled 16 pars.

Also golfing for Trine was Jamie Frost (86, 50th) (St. John, Ind./Hanover Central), Claire Barnett (90, 51st) (North Manchester, Ind./Manchester) and Brooke Johnson (95, T52) (Crystal Lake, Ill./Edwardsburg).

DePauw University won the classic shooting 309 to total 631. Hope College finished seven strokes behind at 638. DePauw's Rachele Miller topped the leaderboard at 150.

The Thunder will play host to the Trine University Fall Classic on Wednesday afternoon at the Zollner Golf Couse. Play will begin at 1 p.m.
