Women's Golf Takes Fourth at Second MIAA Jamboree

GRANGER, Ind.—The Trine women's golf team finished in fourth place at the second Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association jamboree hosted by Saint Mary's on Saturday afternoon.

Saint Mary's finished the day in the top spot shooting 41 over-329. Hope College took second place three shots behind at 332. Olivet placed third at 339.

Senior Julia DeBelly (Sylvania, Ohio/Sylvania Northview) had the best individual finish for the Thunder placing 14th with a score of 88. Claire Barnett (North Manchester, Ind./Manchester) tied for 17th at 90. Brooke Johnson (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) tied for 21st shooting 92. Also golfing for the Thunder was Ryleigh Gordon (T25, 93)  (Okemos, Mich./Okemos) and Jaime Frost (T36, 97) (St. John, Ind./Hanover Central).

Saint Mary's golfers took the top two individual spots. Taylor Kehoe finished five over, while Lauren Read finished one shot behind her at six over. Calvin's Emilee McCusker took third at eight over.

Trine will continue MIAA jamboree action on Wednesday when it plays at Hope at 1 p.m.
