BATTLE CREEK, Mich.—The Trine women's golf team is in fourth place after day one of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Fall Final on Friday.

The Thunder combined to shoot 41 over-329. Trine is two strokes behind Saint Mary's at 327. Hope College sits in first place at 11 over-299, while Olivet is in second at 35 over-323.

Senior Julia DeBelly (Sylvania, Ohio/Sylvania Northview) finished day one at five over-77 to tie for fourth place. Fellow senior, Ryleigh Gordon (Okemos, Mich./Okemos), sits in a tie for ninth place at nine over-81. Jaime Frost (St. John, Ind./Hanover Central) shot 12 over to tie for 22nd, while Claire Barnett (North Manchester, Ind./Manchester) is tied for 28th at 15 over. Brooke Johnson (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) shot 94 to tie for 41st.

Hope's Nicole Meyer and Britni Gielow are on the top of the leader board at one over-73.

Play wraps up on Saturday at the Bedford Valley Country Club.
