BATTLE CREEK, Mich.—The Trine women's golf team finished the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Fall Final in fifth place on Saturday at the Bedford Valley Country Club. Julia DeBelly was named second-team All-MIAA to earn her fourth conference honor.

The Thunder combined to shoot 350 on day two for a total of 679 on the weeekend. Hope College grabbed the top spot shooting 320 on Saturday for a total of 619. Saint Mary's placed second, while Olivet grabbed third.

Trine's performance was good enough to lock up a fourth-place finish in the MIAA standings. The Thunder earned a chance to compete for an automatic-qualifying bid to the NCAA Division III National Championships in the spring. The winner of the three-round, 54-hole MIAA National Qualifier receives the AQ bid.

Senior Julia DeBelly (Sylvania, Ohio/Sylvania Northview) was the top individual finisher for the Thunder tying for ninth place. DeBelly shot an 86 on day two. DeBelly became the first Trine women's golfer to earn All-MIAA honors all four years of her career.

Fellow senior Ryleigh Gordon (Okemos, Mich./Okemos) took 18th, while Jaime Frost tied for 22.  Claire Barnett (North Manchester, Ind./Manchester) tied for 33, and Brooke Johnson (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) finished in a tie for 38. Jordan Stevens (Brownstown, Ind./Brownstown Central) competed individually for the Thunder and placed in a tie for 31st.

Hope College's Megan Klintworth turned in the best combined round of the tournament to take the top spot. The Flying Dutch's Britni Gielow totaled 153 shots to take second. Hope's Nicole Meyer and Saint Mary's Ali Mahoney finished one shot back to tie for third.
