OSTRANDER, Ohio—The Trine women's golf team took fifth at the Laura Bump Invitational on Sunday afternoon.
Trine finished at 108 over. Davenport took the top spot at 73 over, while Denison finished two strokes behind at 75 over.
Julia DeBelly (Sylvania, Ohio/Sylvania Northview) was the top placewinner for the Thunder tying for 14th at 25 over. Claire Bennett (North Manchester, Ind./Manchester) placed in a tie for 19th with Brooke Johnson (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) at 27 over. Ryleigh Gordon (Okemos, Mich./Okemos) tied for 28th at 33 over. Lyndsey Welper (Lake Orion, Mich./Lake Orion) was tied for 31st at 34 over. Amanda Pucher (Holly, Mich./Holly) finished the weekend at 42 over playing as an individual for the Thunder.
Denison's Anne Miller was the individual medalist at six over for the weekend. Wooster's Hannah Buzolits shot nine over.
The Thunder returns to action next weekend when they will play at the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling April 14 to 15 in Normal, Ill.
