Women's Golf Finishes Season at MIAA National Qualifier

SAUGATUCK, Mich.—The Trine women's golf team wrapped up its 2016-17 season with the final round of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association National Qualifier on Saturday afternoon at Ravines Golf Club.

Senior Julia DeBelly (Sylvania, Ohio/Sylvania Northview) was the low individual medalist of the round, while the Thunder finished in fourth place as a team. DeBelly shot 79, two strokes in front of her nearest competitor.

Hope finished with the lowest combined score on the day and for the three rounds to advance to the NCAA tournament.

Natalie Woodley (Grayling, Mich./Grayling) turned in a round of 95, while Brooke Johnson (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) shot 97. Jordan Stevens (Brownstown, Ind./Brownstown Central) shot 98, while Amanda Pucher (Holly, Mich./Holly) had a 105.
