ANGOLA, IND. -- The Trine women's golf team finished fourth at the second MIAA event of the season with a combined score of 345.
Hope College posted the low team score on the day with 330 strokes. Saint Mary's College finished in second with 334, while Olivet College rounded out the top three with 337 strokes.
Sophomore Lyndsey Welper (Lake Orion, Mich./Lake Orion) posted the teams best score with 83 strokes which was good enough to finish tied for seventh as an individual. Seniors Brooke Johnson (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) and Jordan Stevens (Brownstown/Brownstown Central) both finished with 87 strokes in the round. Senior Natalie Woodley (Grayling, Mich./Grayling) rounded out the Thunder's scorecard with an 88 stroke day.
Trine will next compete when they travel to Thornapple Golf Club in Grand Rapids, Mich. for the third MIAA Jamboree of the season on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 1:30 p.m.
